Five-County Beef Tour and Beef Field Day

   Saturday, September 14, 2019 NC State      University Beef Educational Unit, 

Raleigh, NC Area Livestock Producers

Area livestock producers are invited to the 2019 NC State University Beef Field Day and Dedication Ceremony on Saturday, September 14, 2019, at the NC State University Beef Educational Unit, in Raleigh. Educational programs will be held throughout the morning.

If you plan to attend, please contact N.C. Cooperative Extension, Franklin County Center, at 919-496-3344. A head count is needed for lunch. For more information, contact Martha L. Mobley, at or 919-496-3344. Martha will be driving the county van for those that want to attend and we will be leaving from the Franklin County Center of N.C. Cooperative Extension, at 7:45 a.m.

Tentative agenda: 

  • 8:00 AM – On-site registration and refreshments
  • 9:00 AM – Welcome by Dr. Todd See, NC State University Animal Science Department Head
  • 9:10 AM – 11:20 AM - Educational programs focused
    (1) Environmental Stewardship
    (2) Low Stress Handling and Beef Quality Assurance
    (3) Impacting future generations through Youth Programs
  • 11:30 AM – Dedication Ceremony 
  • 12:15 PM – Lunch will be served 
  • 12:50 - 1:30 PM – Lunch Program
  • 2:00 PM – Conclusion and Dedication Ceremony
